Traveler’s Bucket List: 5 World’s Dreamlike Destinations

If you are in love with travelling, you are probably dreaming of visiting the world’s most idyllic places. Fortunately, there are dozens of dreamlike destinations spread out around the globe; maybe some of them are even closer than you think.

Since I’m a traveller myself, I have decided to share with you some breath-taking destinations that will make you fall in love with them in a matter of seconds.

Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This site is located in central Croatia near the border with Bosnia and Hercegovina and it is renowned for lakes arranged in cascades. There are 16 lakes to be seen on this site. They are all separated by natural dams. The nature and the colour of the water seem unreal here. If you love hiking and beautiful natural lakes, this destination will fulfil your dreams.

If you plan on visiting Croatia, you should also visit one of the most beautiful places along its coastline such as the City of Dubrovnik, Split and Zadar.

Anguilla Island, Eastern Caribbean

If you have a desire to travel to warmer climates, stay on an island and feel like there is nothing more in the world – Anguilla Island, one of the Leeward islands, located in Eastern Caribbean is the right spot for you. This is a very small island; it’s just 20 km long. The beaches on it are beautiful and there are many of them. The sand is white and powdery, and this colour is exactly what makes the pristine water look dreamlike.

This island also has several romantic beaches. So, you can expect to see a lot of “just married” couples having a wonderful time for their honeymoon.

Machu Picchu, The Lost City of the Incas, Peru

This ancient Inca city is located in Peru and it is renowned as one the most dreamlike destinations in the world. There is no traveller this destination will not satisfy. Maybe because it represents a perfect balance between beautiful natural landscapes, an exciting history, and unique architecture.

If you would like to experience this destination to its fullest, it is recommended to hike the Inca Trail that leads through the Sacred Valley, all the way to this ancient Inca city. White tips of the surrounding mountains, cloud forests, and ruins of ancient settlements along the trek add up to the magical experience this place has to offer.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make the UAE. It is set between a desert and the beautiful water of the Persian Gulf. If you would like to experience a new rising urban culture and glittering glamour, Dubai is the place to visit. The architecture of this city will leave you amazed. The breath-taking skylines and the world’s tallest skyscrapers, amongst other things, make Dubai a dreamlike destination. Since it is inhabited by people of all nationalities, you can taste some of the most delicious cuisines.

The Palm Island, the world’s largest artificial island, found in Dubai, is yet another tourist attraction you will get the chance to see and visit while you are there.

Many people are under the impression that this destination is an expensive one, but Dubai Marina vacation accommodation will prove them wrong.

Kyoto Gardens, “The cover face” of Japan

Kyoto Gardens will provide you with a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the Japanese culture. Since the gardens in Japan are found inside temples, you will also see beautiful Japanese architecture and styles. Kyoto Gardens is a complex made out of hundreds of gardens and you will have to plan your trip well before you arrive if you want to make sure not to miss the most wonderful ones.

The following gardens deserve a place in your planner: Hojo Garden at the Tofuku-ji Temple, Karesansui at the Ryoan-ji Temple, the Stroll garden at the Ginkaku-ji Temple and the garden of Koto-in the sub temple of Daitoku-ji Temple.
Hopefully, these short descriptions will set you on a quest to learn more about these amazing places and eventually put them on your bucket list. If you have a favourite dreamlike destination of your own, feel free to share it with us in the comment section below.
