Things We All Look Forward to in 2015

The previous year wasn’t exactly filled with good news, was it? The Ferguson situation in the US, the Ukraine crises in the EU, more turmoil in the middle east – these are just some of the things that marked 2014, and a lot of us are glad that we can leave it behind. We also lost one of the greatest comedians in the history of comedy, Robin Williams. So plenty of bad things in 2014, but what about 2015? Every year seems full of promises, but 2015 really has some good things in store for us. Let’s take a couple of moments and see what awaits us a few months down the road, shall we?

Tech

Of course, we are going to start with tech novelties since they seem to create the biggest boom, and there seems to be a new breakthrough each day. Well, the long anticipated wearable tech is coming soon. The online community is split when it comes to opinions about the actual usefulness of the wearable tech. Apple Watch is one of the most anticipated pieces of tech, but they are not the only ones that are going to get into the game. Android and Sony are also going to attempt to get in on this new market. Health and fitness are a big part of the whole thing with clothes that can measure your calories, pulse and so on, with the goal of helping you keep yourself healthy and in good shape. Automated cars are on their way as well. In the UK, testing is well under way in Greenwich, Bristol, Milton Keynes and Coventry. These tests have been backed up by the government through a £19 million worth of investment, and they expect to create an industry worth somewhere around £900 billion. As far as motorcycling tech goes, Skully, a motorcycle helmet with a head-up-display, similar to that in fighter pilot helmets, will be available sometime in 2015.

Entertainment

Some TV shows that were supposed to start this year are on their way already. Better Call Saul is one of the few spin-offs that people waited for with impatience, being that it is a spin-off of Breaking Bad. It started airing on February 9th, and has gotten some pretty good reviews. Some of the shows from previous year are coming back strong as well. The Vikings are back, and they are glorious, and soon, Game of Thrones is going to start as well, so you won’t be lacking action nor political intrigue. Still, analysts anticipate 2015 to be a good year to visit the cinema due to all the highly sought after movie sequels that are going to come out.  A slash between tech and entertainment has always been the gaming industry, and boy, does it have a treat for us this year. Oculus is my favourite tech innovation. It is a VR simulating headset which you can use to transfer yourself into the virtual realm of your games. I can only imagine how it feels to play Skyrim while using Oculus, let alone one of the newer titles. The commercial version of this device is expected sometime in 2015. As far as gaming titles go, No Man’s Sky is one of the most sought after games that should come out in 2015. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, is one of the old faithful titles that is making a comeback these years, as well as a more brutal version of the famous Vs fighting game, Mortal Kombat X. Another big title that is coming is the latest adventure of Lara Croft, which goes under the name Rise of the Tomb Raider.

There are a lot of fun things coming up in 2015 that you should look forward to. We hope you enjoyed our post. If you liked the future themed sci-fi movies, you will enjoy living in 2015.
