Bridal Beauty: How to Prepare Yourself for the Big Day

Brides from all around the world are doing their best to look really stunning and beautiful on the most important day of their lives. Unfortunately, not all women know and realize that achieving that perfect bridal look takes time. All the preparations need to start months before the wedding. In order to make your skin, hair and body perfect, you will need to devote yourself to achieving this. Here are some pre-wedding tips and tricks that every bride should know.

Skin tips

Skin is unpredictable, and in order to be certain that your complexion looks perfect for the wedding, you will need to work on it a little longer.

  • Hydrate inside and outside

Hydrating your skin with moisturizing creams is always good, but what we often forget is that it is equally important to hydrate from the inside as well. Drink at least 5 glasses of water daily in order to keep your skin hydrated and elastic – this way, you will avoid imperfections and dry skin which is not such a good base for make-up.

  • Eat healthy

What you eat is, believe it or not, shown on your skin. Some women can afford eating almost any kind of food, but the majority of us are not that lucky. Fried food, fat, fast food and soul food will not just ruin our shape, but also our skin. Try to eat healthy at least 6 months before the wedding. This will help you maintain balance in your organism and your skin will look fresh and shiny.

  • Exfoliate

Dead skin cells can sometimes make our skin look thick and uneven. This is why you need to exfoliate your skin at least once a week. This will remove all the dead cells and make your skin soft. After the exfoliation, you should apply a nourishing serum or cream that will easily reach deeper into the skin once it is exfoliated.

Hair tips

Your wedding hairstyle can be made by the best hairdresser in the world but still look poor when your hair is damaged. Here’s how to make sure that you end up satisfied with your hair on the big day.

  • Cut your hair a month before the big day

Don’t cut and dye your hair a day or two before the wedding – this is one of the most common mistakes brides make. Visit your hairdresser at least a month before the wedding in order to avoid disappointments.

  • Make a homemade mask for healthy hair

Coconut oil, olive oil, banana, egg yolk and avocado are great for your hair, and combining any two of these can make a great homemade mask. Leave it in your hair for 15 minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Avoid blow-drying your hair when you don’t plan to leave the house and always put some conditioner on your hair. This will make your hair shiny and healthy.

Avoid blisters

Blisters are one of the worst brides’ enemies. In order to make sure that your feet don’t hurt, you will need to buy your wedding shoes at least a month before the ceremony. Spend half an hour daily in your new shoes to help your feet slowly adjust to them. This way, you will avoid blisters and sore feet.

Plus, you can do some exercise such as yoga or squats, which will make the muscles on your legs stronger and you will manage to make through the big day in your high heels.

Have a perfect bridal smile

If you are not satisfied with your teeth, now is the perfect time to do something about it. Gapped teeth, missing teeth or discolored teeth can ruin your perfect bridal look, this is why you should visit your dentist. There are various cosmetic dentistry methods and treatments, which will help you have the smile you’ve always wanted. A couple of teeth whitening treatments will make your teeth look white as never before, and if you are not satisfied with the shape and color of your teeth, you can always opt for dental veneers.

As you can see, wedding preparations should start months before the wedding day if you want to achieve perfection. All of this will be completed with your good mood and the happiness you are going to share with the love of your life.
